IPL 9 Preview - Match 42 - SRH vs DD.

Another win for Sun Risers Hyderabad tomorrow would eventually make them eligible for the Play-offs of Vivo IPL 2016. The batsmen let them down yesterday against Rising Pune Supergiants, well, more against Adam Zampa. But it was SRH's bowling attack, perhaps the best in the tournament, which handed them the pivotal two points.
A loss for Delhi Daredevils tomorrow would mean that they will have to win at least three of the remaining four matches (that too with a higher Net Run Rate). Proving the critics wrong, they have impressed everyone this year. It's just that a lot of chops and changes have gone against them. Rahul Dravid and Paddy Upton are known for making changes in the squad in the quest of giving everyone a fair chance in the tourney. But at this crucial juncture, haply they should decrease the number of changes to the playing eleven.
David Warner, captain of Sun Risers, use to do the bulk of run-scoring for his team in the initial stages of IPL 9. His worries would have decreased to a greater extent from the time his opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan, has been among the runs. Dhawan has accepted his new role of holding one end with both hands. The left-hand batsman use to go for his shots from the word 'go'. But the second half of this IPL has seen him in a different avatar. He has risen to seventh on the list of Highest Run-scorers in this season. His 343 runs in 10 matches have come at an average of 57.16. A strike rate of 117.06 might be shallow by his standards but it is acceptable when the person at the non-striker's end (Warner) has it in him to make up for it.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the current Purple cap holder.
With Kane Williamson, Yuvraj Singh and Moises Henriques in the squad, the batting line-up has the perfect blend of class and attack. The versatility of SRH is not limited to only their batting. To support this line-up is their bowling attack which comprises of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Musta'fizz'ur Rahman and Barinder Sran. The foursome has come good in different situations against different batsmen.
Delhi Daredevils would like to put Rishabh Pant back to the opening slot, for the way he played against Gujarat Lions. His style of game best suits the top order. Sending him at six or seven neither holds good for him and nor for his team. Sanju Samson can resume his role at Number three. Another alteration that can be done is the inclusion of JP Duminy. You cannot afford to bench a player of his quality. Karun Nair has also proved his worth at testing times.
One out of Carlos Brathwaite or Chris Morris can make way for Duminy. With Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Shami, Amit Mishra and Shahbaz Nadeem, they have an eminence in the bowling division as well.
With 14 wickets in 10 matches, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the current purple cap holder. Hyderabad would once again count on him for early wickets with the new ball. His average of 20.78 and an economy rate of 7.18 itself speaks for his performance.
Quinton de Kock has scored 297 runs in eight matches at an average of 42.42 and a strike rate of 149.24. He scored the first century of IPL 9 but since then has been found wanting. At this point of time, he is due on another top knock at the top of the order.
